Jazz Service

Join us Sunday, Jan 14th at 9:30am for our annual Jazz Worship Service.

The Jazz Service has taken place annually at Trinity since 2009 (excluding 2021 for COVID). It features the liturgical jazz music of composer and retired educator Dan Keberle. The composer has applied original, singable melodies to familiar jazz harmonies and forms with a jazz flair. The congregation will sing along with jazz forms such as Horace Silver’s “Song for my Father” and Herbie Hancock’s “Maiden Voyage”.

The stellar musicians performing this year include:

James Davis, trumpet

Audrey Morrison, trombone

Brian Gephart, saxophones

Peter Schwendener, piano

And Trinity’s own Charles Abplanalp on bass and Dave Fodor on drums.
